We are looking forward to our first Masters Coaching Clinic on Sunday the 14th of October.

We warmly invite all of our Masters rowers to come along and take advantage of the opportunity to be provided with coaching to improve your rowing particularly given we have a number of our Masters expressing interest in competing at the Bendigo Regatta on the 20th of October. And don't forget the barbie and drinks afterwards.

Time

The day will run from 7.30am (warm up) with the clinic starting at 8am and running through to 1.30pm. The bar will be open with a barbeque at the end of the session.

What to expect

The training program plan includes opportunities to row in singles, doubles, quads and 8s. Rowers will be supported by coaches on land and in the tinnies. The half-day session will be a great opportunity to connect with other Masters rowers, gain some valuable feedback and tips and have some fun with other crews.

Sweep school

We are looking for expressions of interest for at least 8 rowers interested in learning to sweep in an 8. The sweep school will be in the morning.

Opportunities for volunteers - partners, friends, kids - to assist

We are also looking for any volunteers for the following areas (and they get a snag at the end):

• Coxing (any juniors that could be bribed for the day?)
• Boat drivers - if you have your license to drive a speed boat we'd appreciate it
• Photographers/video - so we can film crews and provide feedback
• Coaches - or those interested in learning to coach - a call out to our more experienced rowers, the day will be a great opportunity to work alongside coaches and get some experience and mentoring in coaching. Even if you're planning to train on the day, there may be opportunities for you to work with other coaches and learn the art of coaching.
