Footscray City Rowing Club runs a high performance rowing program throughout the rowing season where juniors from the age of 13 train and compete on behalf of both the Footscray City Rowing Club at regatta's around Victoria. Footscray City Rowing Club have a long history of success in competition, with our Juniors currently holding the State Championship Title in the under 17 female double scull, the U17 mens single scull, and the open school girls single scull.

This learn to row program is designed to teach all participants the core facet of rowing and does not require the attendees to have any pre-requisites other than to be able to competently swim a minimum of 50 meters.
Registrations are now open to junior males and females over the age of 13. A payment of $50 will be required to confirm your spot as numbers are strictly limited .

What to Bring
Rowing is a sport requiring full body movement. We encourage you to wear tight fitting clothing such as a T-shirt and bike shorts. With the water reflecting the sun, please consider a hat and sunglasses. Thongs or flip-flops are appropriate footwear with a spare pair of socks to wear in the boat.
Please also bring a drink bottle and Ventolin or other medication if required.
What happens after LTR?
Following completion of the LTR program, there will be an opportunity for attendees to progress into our high performance program. This program requires a larger commitment, with 8 week training blocks throughout terms 3 & 4 of this year and 1st term next year. Training would be held up to 3 times per week on Monday and Wednesdays after school at 4.30pm and on Saturday mornings from 8am.
